Our story

Frontier Travel was founded in 2011 in Sydney, Australia, by Roland Howlett, a former Qantas 747 pilot who recognised a gap in Australia's luxury travel market.

A passionate traveller himself, having explored all seven continents, Roland built an expert team over the past 14 years to establish Frontier as a leader in bespoke luxury travel.

In 2025, Frontier Travel expanded its presence with the opening of a new office in Hobart, Roland's hometown, reflecting our continued growth and commitment to serving clients across Australia with the same personalised care and attention to detail.
