SeaDream was founded in 2001 by Seabourn's founder, Atle Brynestad, to capture the feeling of a private yacht. With just 112 guests and 95 crew, service is personal and the mood is relaxed, resort-casual and social.
Days revolve around the sea: jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards and the famous water slides from the marina, Balinese Dream Beds on deck, and the signature Champagne & Caviar Splash beach party.
Family-owned and based in Oslo, SeaDream is in its 25th year. Its twin yachts were rebuilt in a refit completed in 2022, and they’re small enough to reach places like Jost Van Dyke, Saba and Hydra, often staying late or overnight in yachting harbours such as St Barths.
Good to know: there are no balconies, even in the Owner’s Suite. Every stateroom faces the sea through picture windows or portholes. Regulars say it doesn’t matter, because the days are spent on deck and at the marina, but it’s worth knowing before you book.
As a guide, seven-night voyages start from around US$4,400 per person in a Yacht Club Stateroom, and there’s just one Owner’s Suite and one Admiral’s Suite on each yacht, so the larger suites go early.
