Why we love Explora
Explora Journeys is the luxury ocean brand of the MSC Group, bringing refined European style to the sea. Every suite faces the ocean and has its own private terrace, and nearly everything is included in the fare.
Each ship carries around 900 guests in about 460 suites, looked after by roughly 640 crew. The mood is elegant but relaxed, with no formal nights, and Explora tends to attract a younger luxury crowd than the traditional lines.
The ships are sized for smaller harbours, so you dock in walkable coastal towns, stay longer in port and spend nights in places like Venice, Istanbul and Reykjavik.
