Whether you are Sydney bound for a holiday or planning a stay-cation in the Harbour City the Shangri-La Hotel is the perfect place to hang your hat.
Located in the historic Rock area, the Shangri-La is in prime holiday making position. A mere 5 minutes walk from the Sydney Opera House and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The property features 565 spacious guest rooms and suites and is known for having the largest windows of any harbour front hotel, so you can enjoy the sweeping vistas, which are breathtaking. Starting with their Horizon Club Premiere Sydney Harbour Room.
Each room offers 60 square metres of pure luxury with 270-degree views of Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge (the Opera House from levels 30-33). Imagine waking up to that view every day. Trust me, it is even more incredible in person and simply spectacular at night.
For travellers after a more regal experience, allow me to introduce the Shangri-Las Royal Suite. A luxurious one bedroom plus living room which comes complete with your very own grand piano, dining room and kitchenette.. not to mention 242 square meters of spaces and of course.. VIEWS!
Dining at the property is an incredible highlight. Breakfast is perched in the award-winning Altitude Restaurant and Blu Bar is anything but.. rather it is an exquisite location to try one of the venues deadly but delicious cocktails and sample high tea or yummy bar snacks.
Once your belly is full and you are in need of some R and R, trust me, it won't take long, head to the Shangri-Las gorgeous indoor pool or book into CHI, the hotel day spa where you can pamper yourself with one of their signature treatments or simply enjoy the hot tub and sauna.
For anyone who travels with sustainability in mind, good news for guests of the Shangri-La. The Group is committed to waste management and plastic reduction on a global scale. It is the first hotel in Sydney to do away with plastic keys, opting for wooden cards instead - which can be personalised by the way.
Horizon Club guests will notice the hotel has kicked plastic bottles to the curb, instead stocking Just Water, the brainchild of Will Smith's son Jaden. The Water is his eco-friendly answer to bottled water, which is sourced in Victoria, and packaged in a fully recyclable Tetra Pak carton.
Not satisfied yet.. there's more.
The Shangri-La is on a food waste recycling mission, and has diverted 39.73 tonnes of hotel food waste away from landfill in the last six months and has introduced paperless check-in and check-out to do replace unnecessary paperwork.
