Explore - The Blue Mountains NSW

The Blue Mountains are a rugged mountain range to the west of Sydney. Known for their scenery encompassing sheer cliffs, dramatic waterfalls and bush land as far as the eye can see, the Blue Mountains is perfect for your long weekend getaway. Explore the Jenolan Caves, see the Three Sisters and get lost in the endless walking tracks scattered throughout the area. Or just settle in at one of our favourite properties:

Hydro Majestic

Located in the township of Medlow Bath, The Hydro Majestic features art deco inspired accommodation and provides an escape to yesteryear with a journey of discovery and grandeur all whilst experiencing the natural beauty of the Megalong Valley surroundings.
The property boasts 67 rooms to choose from, with the rooms located in the Belgravia wing being recently renovated. We recommend the 28sqm Belgravia Valley View Suite for a bit of extra space and some amazing views.
Sit back and relax at the Boiler House Cafe, set in a unique industrial heritage space of the property, or take the “Taste of the Blue Mountains” experience in the Hydro Majestic Pavilion, which demonstrates the best regional gourmet food and wines.

Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa

This is old world charm right here in the heart of the mountains. Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa is a grand country house offering stunning accommodation, 2 restaurants, an outdoor pool and luxury spa facilities.
No matter which room you choose you will enjoy your stay, it is peaceful and beautiful. Be sure to take advantage of the breathtaking grounds, outdoor tennis courts and swimming pool.
If you are a foodie you will be in heaven. Darley’s Restaurant is romantic with stained glassed windows, original ornate fire places and crystal chandeliers. Their high tea is set in the backdrop of the gardens and quite simply the best way to watch the day go by.

Fairmont Resort & Spa Blue Mountains, MGallery by Sofitel

Located close-by to the township of Leura, this hotel is a bit bigger than our other suggestions at 224 guestrooms, but that just means there is much more to do on property!
Out of the guestroom choices, we recommend the Superior Courtyard King, offering access to a private courtyard, or straight out onto the grounds of the property. Relax in the indoor and outdoor pool, have a game of golf on Leura Golf Course next door to the property, or lose yourself in the numerous walking tracks in the area.
The property boasts three restaurants on site, all offering up something different. Jamisons is a buffet style for those who don’t want to think about what to eat, or tuck into something a bit fancier at Eucalypt, a fine dining restaurant which pairs your meals with signature cocktails designed by the in-house mixologist.
